A friend of ours, Matt, contacted me to see if Lisa and I would be interested in going to a Nationals game on Labor Day. It was spur of the moment. He contacted me the night before the game, but we didn't have anything to do, and we hadn't been to a Nationals game yet, so we accepted. When I inquired about where the seats were, he gave me a hard time and just said "They are good, I promise."
We show up the next day at the park, and he hands us our tickets. They are Suite tickets! Turns out his sister got tickets to her company's suite and had a couple extra so we were able to tag along as well. We were definitely spoiled. The new CEO of the company was there and had ordered plenty of snacks and drinks for everybody to enjoy. Overall, I liked Camden Yards, and Bush stadium better, but I'll take nationals park suite tickets over those stadiums any day!
Around this time we also hosted my Mom and Aunt who had been wanting to come down and pay us a visit and see our place. They cooked us dinner Friday night, a Cajun shrimp pasta which was very yummy, and a nice change of pace from our usual meals. On Saturday we went down to Eastern Market in the morning to check out their wares, and we got huge sandwiches from the indoor market for lunch. Lisa and I headed off to a friends place to watch the Penn State vs. Alabama game which ended unfortunately, but as anticipated for us. This left my mom and aunt to check out a museum and go out to dinner. The final day they were here we went out for brunch, and came back to watch some football. Thanks for the visit! Come again soon!
